Home Based Business Advantages
58Captivating Advantages of a Home Based Business
There are many advantages to owning a home based business that are worth investigating. Here are just four of them:
1. More time with family. Many times in our modern-day family situation, there's not a lot of time to spend together as a family. One or both of the parents work outside the home and frequently see very little of their children in any given day or even each other, for that matter. And nurturing our families today is so important as we're grooming our children for the future. They're the next generation.
Working from home could be ideal for those who want something better for their family or at least would like to have more contact with one another and actually get to know each other better.
2. Residual income would be another perk. As you know, if you work for a boss, you are indeed very limited in how much you can excell or get paid. On top of that when your job runs out or you retire, the income stops.
With a home based business, having carefully chosen the best one to fit your needs and personality and having reached a certain income level in that business, when you want to slow down, you can and continue to receive an income for as long as you live. Residual income is really a beautiful thing, and with many MLM companies, you can even will that business to your children.
3. Tax breaks!! This might be the first in importance or at least a big financial plus for enjoying all the rest of the benefits of owning a home based business. Have you heard of Sandy Botkin? His whole emphasis is making your business work for you in the area of lowering your taxes. Say you work at a 9-5 job but have a part time multi-level marketing home business. You can get more of your hard-earned money back at tax time by carefully documenting your part-time business expenses and most of all being aware of just what you can deduct. Click here for more information on how to do just that.
4. No commuting to a job! Wow, with gas prices on the continual upswing, a one or two hour commute daily is highway robbery. Keep your SUV--just change jobs and work from home. Then when you need to run errands for your business, the mileage is tax deductible since you're initiating your errand from your place of business--at home. It makes a lot of sense and a lot more money in your pocket. Put your vehicle to good use.
5. Personal freedom. Who wouldn't want to make their own schedule and be their own boss. Don't get me wrong: you must be fairly disciplined to schedule work hours for yourself or you won't get anywhere, but how wonderful to be able to fit fun and family time into your schedule without putting in for a personal day. Sick days? Not a problem either. The hassles are much fewer, and couldn't we use a lot fewer hassles in our daily lives?
As your business is doing well, you can take time off knowing that no one is looking over your shoulder to make sure you meet your deadlines. You set the schedule, and you fulfill the committment with integrity. But you also fit in plenty of relaxation so you're at the top of your game when you are working.
A home business, whether a small business you've started from a fabulous idea you have or an MLM network marketing business, is worth anyone's while to look into. And the help out there to get started and carry it through is phenomenal. Take a look. You'll be glad your did.

You raise some great points. The only thing I would add is the personal growth that comes from having your own business. It truly tests you to be the best you can be, and when the results come, it is so darn rewarding. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for reminding me of why I have a home based online business. Your point about gas prices is particularly apt.
